From his first job as a busboy at the young age of 13 to line cook at 14, Matt’s passion for the food industry started early. Matt’s love for cooking comes from his mother, his passion and his almost 20 years of experience in hospitality. He began to work on his own food company and soon gave birth to Rock Lobster Food Co. Since his first ever pop up event in March 2012, Rock Lobster has now grown into three bustling restaurants and a successful wholesale and retail seafood line. Matt’s latest exciting project is his new cookbook which is The Great Lobster Cookbook, being published by Random House Canada and is available now via Chapters/Indigo and on Amazon!


This serial entrepreneur doesn’t stop, Matt has now started his own wholesale company (Camp 416) with a few of his childhood friends that sells Matty’s Seafood and other food and beverage brands throughout Canada, US and Caribbean to both retail and hospitality customers.
